Spinach and Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie

 



Looking for something fresh, easy and healthy to make for breakfast? Try a smoothie! Breakfast smoothies are high protein, completely hydrating and full of great nutrition. They can help get your day started on a better note with high energy and improved focus. This particular recipe can also help with PMS and hormone balance, along with weight loss and pain management. And they sound SO good in the hot summer!


Let's get started!

Here's what you will need:

1 cup frozen blueberries

1 cup fresh spinach

1 cup unsweet vanilla almond milk

1 scoop vanilla protein powder (Plexus Lean is great, or Vega One, or True Athlete)

2 tsp ground flax

*****optional- 1/2 c greek yogurt for probiotics (but be careful- if you have a cough or sinus issues, ANY dairy product can make it worse!).*****

Instructions:

  1. Put milk into blender, then add fruit, spinach, protein powder and ground flax. Put the lid on the blender. 
  2. Blend until smooth. Add water or ice until desired texture is achieved. 
  3. Serve immediately.
